With 2017 coming to an end there’s not much more to do than take a look back at some of the incredible progression that’s been made in skateboarding and those that are pushing the sport to the next level.
Jamie Foy is front and center in that list of skateboarding innovators. Foy accomplished a lot this year starting with his performance in Thrashers King of the Road. Foy held it down for his teammates and was a man among boys in one of the oddest and most intense skate trips of the year.
Foy also achieved professional status as a new member of Deathwish Skateboarding. He’s filmed some incredible parts and pushed the progression of skateboarding even further.
With all he’s accomplished in a short 12-month span there’s no doubt that Thrasher made the right choice to name Foy the Skater of the Year. The thrasher crew surprised Foy with the news last week.
Foy’s trick arsenal is never ending. He can do it all from transition to technical, from rails to gaps and everything in between. Check out the video below to get a better feel for Foy’s style and don’t forget to keep an eye on him in the future. This guys future is very bright.
